Thanksgiving ~ Harvest

Canadian Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving Day is  held on the second Monday in October. This year it falls on Monday, October 9, 2023

Thanksgiving in the United States is held on the fourth Thursday of November, the day after Black Friday. This year, it will be held on Thursday November 24, 2022.

Thanksgiving is an opportunity for people to get together to celebrate the harvest and other blessings of the year. A time to gather and give thanks.

Families will gather together to eat wonderful dishes that usually consist of Roast turkey with stuffing, potatoes and various vegetables, delicious pumpkin or apple pie (with whipped creme/ice-cream) and more.

Making Seasons Bright recognizes that everyone does not have family and that Thanksgiving can be tough for some. It is important for everyone to appreciate each other and to recognize people who may be less fortunate.
